Earlier this month, The Art Gorgeous – a media group focusing on the art world – released an article focusing on ten women working at the intersection of art and the law. Law is not the first field that comes to mind when dealing with the art world, but art law is actually a very important part of that industry.
Our founder and CEO, Marie Potel-Saville, is one of the women this article celebrates, an occasion to come back on one of Amurabi’s projects focusing on empowering artists to know and use their rights in digital art projects.
For the last few months, Amurabi has been working with the Serpentine Legal Lab, led by Alana Kushnir. The Legal Lab aims at prototyping accessible legal solutions for art collaborations, and Amurabi is working with them, as well as with Astrid Kohlmeier, on this project to create new legal solutions and tools to better support collaborations across art, science, and technology in the future. The Legal Lab recently conducted a survey to map collaborations, needs and pain points across these fields. We’re busy producing and designing a report with the Legal Lab, which will also be a call to action for the whole community.
In this article, our founder and CEO is cited alongside nine other pioneer women. Find out more by clicking here.
