Legal Design is a powerful tool to close the gap between citizens and the law 🛠
Happy and proud to have launched a project with DILA, France Prime Minister’s division in charge of a website entirely dedicated to informing citizens about their rights, www.service-public.fr
An amazing work has already been done for many years, with 6 million individual accounts created since its creation in 2016 (750,000 in 2020 alone !). Now France wants to go even further and ensure that the citizens who are the most “far away” from the administration also benefit from these services and are empowered to really exercise their rights, for example elderly, admin phobic, people having difficulties with French language and vulnerable citizens.
We are also very happy to be working alongside Dominique Ashby on this, to add a neurosciences expertise to ensure accessibility.
Access to justice is one of the key reasons we have chosen #legaldesign as our path: after 15 years of practice in #probono projects, we’ve seen that people who are the most in need of #accesstojustice are usually those who benefit the least from it.
It has to change! And now is the time.
